GREENSBORO, NC – The Greensboro Grasshoppers fell to the Winston-Salem Dash, 13-9 on Friday, July 28. The Dash improved to 10-17 on the season while the Grasshoppers fell to 11-16. Winston-Salem outhit Greensboro 13-9 as the Grasshoppers had two mishaps to the Dash’s one.

Leading at the plate for the Grasshoppers was outfielder Jase Bowen as he went 2-4. Following close behind was catcher Wyatt Hendrie as he went 2-4 with one run scored. Josiah Sightler and Francisco Acuna each recorded a double as Shawn Ross and Brenden Dixon each tallied a home run.

Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Po-Yu Chen as he tallied five strikeouts and gave up five hits, three runs (two earned), and three free bases on four innings of work. Ryan Harbin took the loss for the Grasshoppers and fell to 0-2 on the season.

Connor Mccullough recorded the win for the Dash and improved to 3-2 on the season.

The Grasshoppers are back in action at home tomorrow, Saturday, July 29 at 6:30 PM.
