ROME, GA. – The Greensboro Grasshoppers take down the Rome Braves, 4-1 Friday, August 25. The Grasshoppers improved to 27-24 in the second half of the season while the Braves fell to 26-26. Greensboro outhit Rome 12-2 as the Grasshoppers had one error. Leading at the plate for the Grasshoppers

ROME, GA. – The Greensboro Grasshoppers take down the Rome Braves, 4-1 Friday, August 25. The Grasshoppers improved to 27-24 in the second half of the season while the Braves fell to 26-26. Greensboro outhit Rome 12-2 as the Grasshoppers had one error.

Leading at the plate for the Grasshoppers was outfielder Tres Gonzalez as he went 2-4 with one free base. Following close behind was Josiah Sightler as he went 2-4 with one RBI. Brenden Dixon and Wyatt Hendrie both recorded doubles for Greensboro.

Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher J.P. Massey as he tallied five strikeouts and gave up one hit and one run on five innings of work. Massey tallied the win for the Grasshoppers and improved to 2-3 on the season.

Owen Murphy took the loss for the Braves and fell to 0-1 on the season.
