Greensboro wins in 10, 5-4

                The Greensboro Grasshoppers scored a run in the 10^th inning to take a 5-4 victory over the Lexington Legends Thursday night at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
                Aaron Knapp led off the 10^th with a single. Justin Twine bunted, and both runners were safe when shortstop Ricky Aracena was unable to make the catch at second base on a throw from catcher Meibrys Viloria. The error charged to Aracena left runners at first and second, and a single by James Nelson loaded the bases. With the infield in, Colby Lusignan hit a ground ball up the middle that was fielded by Aracena, whose only play was a force out at second as Knapp scored the tie-breaking run.
                Greensboro built an early 3-0 lead. Jarett Rindfleisch hit a two-run homer in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Eric Gutierrez drove in another run in the third.
                The Legends rallied in the sixth with three home runs. With one out, Gabriel Cancel hit an inside-the-park homer. His fly ball to right field bounced off the wall and rolled into the corner, away from right fielder Walker Olis, and Cancel beat the throw home with a headfirst slide. With one out, Joe Dudek drew a walk, and Emmanuel Rivera homered over the wall in right field to tie the game. Greensboro changed pitchers, but Viloria greeted reliever Alex Mateo with a home run to left, putting Lexington in front 4-3.
                The Grasshoppers tied the game in the eighth inning on a single by Nelson and a triple by Lusignan.
                Michael Mertz (2-0), who entered the game at the start of the ninth inning, got the win.
                Legends' reliever Grant Gavin (1-1) was the losing pitcher.            
                Greensboro has won the first two games of the series, which concludes Friday. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
