North Little Rock, AR—Emerson Hancock retired the first 14 batters of the game in his Double-A debut and the Arkansas Travelers rolled over the Springfield Cardinals 14-4 on Wednesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. The offense scored eight times in the second inning and the Travs were never threatened the rest of the way. After working 4.2 perfect innings, Hancock issued a walk and was removed from the game having reached his pitch limit. The 22-year old struck out six while giving up just the one baserunner. Steven Moyers came on and worked 1.1 scoreless innings and earned the win on the mound. Cardinals starter Domingo Robles was knocked out in the second innings and took the loss.

Moments That Mattered

* With one out in the second inning, nine straight Travelers reached base beginning with a walk from Zach DeLoach. The ninth batter was Josh Morgan who cleared the bases with a three-run double.

* After the offensive barrage, Hancock quickly put down the Cards in order in the third culminating with a strikeout putting the Travs firmly in command of the game.

News and Notes

* The 10 run margin of victory was the largest of the season for the Travs.

* Rizzo was a home run shy of the cycle after three at-bats but flied out and struck out in his final two trips to the plate.
