Corpus Christi, TX—Four Travelers pitchers combined on a five hit shutout in a 3-0 win over the Corpus Christi Hooks to close the first road trip of the season. Arkansas won four of the six games in Corpus Christi. Starter Tyler Herb pitched six innings, giving up only four hits and hitting one batter while collecting four strikeouts and 14 groundball outs. Herb earned his first win of the season. Moises Gomez, Reid Morgan and Darin Gillies each tossed a scoreless inning to close it out with Gillies picking up his third save. Brian O’Keefe had two hits and scored two runs and Dom Thompson-Williams homered for the second straight game.

Moments That Mattered

* Thompson-Williams launched a blast to right with a man on in the second to stake the Travs to an early lead.

* Herb escaped a bases loaded situation in the third and then Arkansas turned a 5-4-3 double play after a leadoff single in the fourth. Starting with that double play, Herb retired the final eight hitters he faced.

* Bobby Honeyman padded the Travs lead with a two out RBI single in the ninth inning.

After a day off on Monday, the Travs return home to take on the Tulsa Drillers on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. Right-hander Alejandro Requena (1-0, 6.75) makes the start against righty Gus Varland (0-1, 4.76) for the Drillers.
