Hillcats release fun-filled 2019 Promotional Schedule

Lynchburg, Va. - The Lynchburg Hillcats, A-Advanced affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, have unveiled their all-new 2019 promotional schedule filled with cutting-edge entertainment, themed nights, giveaways and fireworks shows to excite fans for the upcoming season at City Stadium.

The action-packed promotional schedule begins with Opening Day at City Stadium on April 8. The game will feature a schedule magnet giveaway, presented by Nadine Blakely.
Different from years past, the biggest highlight of the 2019 season is Aloha Weekends, featuring post-game fireworks shows virtually EVERY Friday and Saturday, with the first fireworks extravaganza scheduled for April 19. After 11 fireworks shows last season, the Hillcats will unleash 26 fireworks spectaculars in 2019.
Lynchburg will host an Easter Bash on April 20, consisting of a children's pre-game Easter egg hunt, a young adult pre-game Easter hunt featuring a grand prize scholarship giveaway, and a special Easter Bunny appearance all presented by Blue Eagle Credit Union. Mascot Madness is on May 3, as tons of fan-favorite local mascots will invade City Stadium, with a post-game fireworks show to follow, courtesy of Centra College of Nursing. The popular Star Wars Night is on May 4, topped off by a post-game fireworks show presented by REALTOR Sandi Codrea - BHHS Dawson Ford Garbee & Co. Cats Cares Night is on May 25, when all fans can enter the game for free, but are encouraged to give a donation at the box office of their choice to a preselected charity, presented by MedExpress. All proceeds will go to three different charities that fans will pick through a contest.
Grateful Dead Night is on June 28, presented by Kona Ice, which includes a pre-game cover band performance and post-game fireworks. First Responders Night is on August 17, when all first responders receive free entry to the game, courtesy of Hill City Pharmacy. The Hillcats will be accepting donations at the ticket window for a 50/50 raffle to raise proceeds for Brothers In Arms, a nonprofit that offers financial help to first responders and their families in the early stages of a life debilitating illness or cancer.
The Hillcats will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off for charity on two additional nights this season. April 27 is the Hillcats' 11th annual Autism Awareness Night, and all of the proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the Growth Through Opportunity Organization. Breast Cancer Awareness Night is on June 14, with the jersey auction benefiting the Susan G. Komen foundation. Both nights will also feature a t-shirt giveaway in support of autism and breast cancer awareness. All of the players and coaches jerseys will be bid on during the game and given to the winner following the game.
Lynchburg will sport two other specialty uniforms available to fans in an auction over the course of the season. The Hillcats are stretching their annual Fourth of July extravaganza throughout the entire weekend from July 4-6 for Military Appreciation Weekend. The jerseys will be bid on throughout the series, and auctioned off to fans at the end of the game on July 6. Specialty Aloha Weekend jerseys will be worn during the season, and also for Margaritaville Night on August 30, when fans will again be able to bid on them. Margaritaville Night will also feature a sunglasses giveaway, courtesy of HighPeak Sportswear.
