Behind three home runs the Tri-City Dust Devils (12-8) beat the Everett AquaSox 8-4 on Tuesday night at Everett Memorial Stadium. Chris Mattison, Luis Almanzar, and Aldemar Burgos each had a long ball in the team's victory.
Tri-City took the lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back. Chris Mattison's three-run homer highlighted the start of the game for the Dust Devils. It was a memorable night for two highly touted prospects. Tri-City starter Adrian Morejon earned the first win of his professional career after allowing only two runs in six innings of work. Shortstop Luis Almanzar hit the first home run of his professional career with a solo blast in the fifth inning.
Left-hander Osvaldo Hernandez will start the second and final game of the quick road series against the AquaSox on Wednesday night. Everett will counter with right-hander Ryne Inman. Fans can listen to the games on Newstalke 870 KFLD, at www.dustdevilsbaseball.com, or via the free TuneIn app. The team will return to Gesa Stadium on July 12th for Thunder Alley Motorsports Night presented by Thunder Alley Motorsports.
