FRISCO - Jimmy Endersby fired five sharp frames and was backed by a nine-run fourth inning Friday night as the Hooks upended Frisco for their third straight win, an 11-9 decision, before 5,720 fans at Riders Field.

Corpus Christi can secure the series win with a triumph Saturday night.

Rangers top pitching prospect Jack Leiter held the Hooks to one single over the first three innings. Corpus Christi then erupted for eight hits in the fourth, including a grand slam by Luke Berryhill. The slam came against lefty Tyler Thomas, with seven runs being charged to Leiter. Justin Dirden, who extended his hit streak to 13 games, Grae Kessinger, Jose Alvarez and Yainer Diaz also drove in runs as the Hooks sent 13 men to the plate.

Diaz turned in his second four-hit performance this season, making him 11-for-18 in the series.

Enmanuel Valdez went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored, upping his batting average to a club-best .339.

After allowing two first innings runs, Endersby retired 15 of the last 17 he faced and exited the contest with an 11-2 advantage.

The RoughRiders rallied for seven runs over the final four frames, but Devin Conn was able to record three consecutive outs with the tying run at the plate to end the game.

The Hooks try to make it four wins in a row Saturday night with Tyler Brown on the mound. Lefty Cole Ragans is slated to take the ball for Frisco. First pitch 6:35.
