FRISCO - The Hooks erupted for four two-out runs in the eighth inning to earn their first win of the season Thursday night, a 6-3 decision over Frisco at Riders Field.

With the score level at 2, Corpus Christi coaxed three walks in the decisive frame, including a bases loaded free pass by Rolando Espinosa. Jeremy Arocho was next and smacked a double down the right-field line to plate three for a four-run edge. J.C. Correa contributed to the rally with a base hit up the middle.

Arocho, batting ninth in the order, posted a four-RBI day thanks to his run-scoring single in the fifth.

Aaron Brown, who had dispatched nine of 10 RoughRiders from the end of the fifth through the start of the eighth, seized the surplus by striking out the final four Frisco sent to bat, ending the game.

Hooks starter Miguel Ullola turned in a gritty performance. After walking seven of the first 10 men he faced, Ullola recorded nine straight outs - six by way of strikeout - to end his 4 1/3-inning outing.

Each man in the Corpus Christi lineup reached base, with Colin Barber doing so three times on two walks and a ninth-inning single.
