The game started as a pitcher's duel, and there were no runs scored in the first five innings. RHP
The Dragons got on the board first in the top of the fifth when SS
Bowling Green responded in the bottom of the sixth when SS Taylor Walls singled, advanced to third on an error, and scored on a wild pitch to give the Hot Rods their first run of the game.
In the seventh the two teams matched two run frames. The Dragons got their two runs on a two run home run by LF Staurt Fairchild. The Hot Rods scored two after stringing together a couple hits and walks. RF
