I-CUBS SWEPT BY SCRANTON

The Iowa Cubs (13-20, 43-62) fell to the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (22-9, 58-46) 13-3 on Sunday afternoon at Principal Park. Both teams scored one run in the first inning, with Kevin Alcantara plating a run for Iowa. Scranton would go on to score four runs in the second inning

The Iowa Cubs (13-20, 43-62) fell to the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (22-9, 58-46) 13-3 on Sunday afternoon at Principal Park.

Both teams scored one run in the first inning, with Kevin Alcantara plating a run for Iowa. Scranton would go on to score four runs in the second inning to jump back in front. The Railriders would add three more runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead.

Iowa scored their second run of the game in the fifth inning on a solo home run from Jonathon Long. Scranton would score five more runs in the sixth inning.

Ethan Hearn hit his first Triple-A home run in the bottom of the ninth inning for Iowa.
