Allentown, Pennsylvania (4 April 2022) – The Lehigh Valley IronPigs, in conjunction with Lehigh Valley Health Network, are set to unveil a brand-new entrance located in centerfield for fans this season. The “Lehigh Valley Health Network Gate” will give fans a third option for entering and exiting Coca-Cola Park. The new entrance, located directly behind centerfield, will provide for fans to enter Coca-Cola Park without needing to walk along IronPigs Way and will improve fan safety.

“The IronPigs strive daily to create the best experience at Coca-Cola Park for every fan from the time they enter the ballpark to the time the leave the ballpark – and this new entrance helps fulfill that goal,” said IronPigs President and General Manager Kurt Landes. “The Lehigh Valley Health Network Gate not only creates a third entrance to enter and exit the ballpark for convenience, but also significantly increases fan safety. We are thrilled to partner with Lehigh Valley Health Network for this improvement.” The expected completion of the new Lehigh Valley Health Network Gate is likely to occur in early May.

Coca-Cola Park will also be adding parking spaces that are closer to the new Lehigh Valley Health Network Gate and eliminating spaces that were farther away. In addition to the new entrance, the 250 parking spaces that currently exist along the southeast side of IronPigs Way (located near the American Parkway entrance) will be re-located and the new spaces will be adjacent to the existing parking behind left-centerfield. Handicap accessible parking will remain in the front of the ballpark outside the East and West gates.

“As Founding Partners of the IronPigs and the region’s healthcare leaders, we’re excited to be leading this ballpark enhancement that will improve safety and elevate the experience for all fans,” said Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs, Rich Levy. “We look forward to welcoming thousands of members of our community through the new Lehigh Valley Health Network Gate.”

The IronPigs anticipate the new parking lot will begin construction during the summer. There is no current estimated date of completion.
