Three Isotopes (11-15) pitchers combined to one-hit the Rainiers (12-13) on Tuesday night, defeating Tacoma by a score of 3-1. The no-hit bit was broken up with an infield single off the bat of Ian Miller to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning.

Prior to Tuesday's performance by the Albuquerque staff, the Isotopes had never taken a no-hitter into the ninth inning before in franchise history.
The last time the Isotopes threw a one-hitter was in the second game of a double header on April 20, 2011. However, this was only a seven-inning contest.
Isotopes starter Jeff Hoffman led the way on Tuesday, no-hitting the Rainiers through his 5.2 innings on the hill. The 25-year-old right-hander struck out eight and walked three while allowing one run on the evening. Hoffman was lifted from the game after throwing 89 pitches.
Isotopes reliever Scott McGough recorded seven outs out of the bullpen for Albuquerque, earning his second hold of the season. The right-hander also made a miraculous play on the mound to preserve the no-hitter, making a behind the back grab on a ball hit right back up the middle.
Isotopes closer DJ Johnson allowed the only hit of the game to the Rainiers, a slow roller to shortstop for an infield single. He went on to strike out the side in the ninth to earn his fourth save of the season.
Offensively, Raimel Tapia finished the evening 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI while Anthony Bemboom connected on a two-run double.
The Isotopes look for their fourth win in a row on Wednesday when lefty David Holmberg takes the hill for Albuquerque. First pitch from historic Cheney Stadium is set for 8:05 p.m.
