Isotopes starting pitcher Sam Howard had to exit the game early after an apparent injury. The southpaw was dealing on the mound, shutting out the 51s over his 4.1 innings. He received a no-decision.
After Howard's exit, Isotopes manager Glenallen Hill turned to Nelson Gonzalez, Austin House, Jerry Vasto and DJ Johnson to finish off the 51s.
Albuquerque and Las Vegas are back in action on Sunday for a Mother's Day matinee from Cashman Field. The Isotopes will send David Holmberg to the mound as they look to remain in the win column. First pitch from Las Vegas is set for 1:05 p.m.
