The Isotopes (55-52) connected on four home runs and took the series opener over the Iowa Cubs (48-56), 8-1, on Saturday evening at Isotopes Park. The win, coupled with the Salt Lake loss, puts the Isotopes and the Bees in a tie for first place in the PCL's Pacific Southern Division.

Jordan Patterson blasted his team-leading 20th and 21st home runs and has raised his average to .299 for the season. The 25-year-old has now registered nine home runs and 24 RBI in 27 games in the month of July while hitting an even .400.
Ryan McMahon finished the evening 3-for-4 and was just a triple away from the cycle. The 22-year-old connected on his 11th Triple-A home run of the season (17th overall) and is now hitting .392 in 49 games with the Isotopes.
Cristhian Adames also registered a long ball on the evening, his ninth of the season.
