Fresh off of an award-winning 2018 season, the Albuquerque Isotopes unveiled plans to make 2019 even better with the announcement of the highly-anticipated 2019 promotional schedule. The upcoming season is jam-packed with 15 fireworks shows and 23 giveaways including replica jerseys, hats, beer steins, bobbleheads and much more.
The Isotopes launch the 2019 season with Opening Night on Thursday, April 4 when the Salt Lake Bees come to town for a five-game set. The Isotopes will once again participate in the Copa de la Diversion, or "Fun Cup," a season-long series across all of Minor League Baseball specifically designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with participating teams' local U.S. Hispanic/Latino communities.
The Isotopes/Mariachis de Nuevo México are the defending Fun Cup Champions, winning the inaugural "Copa Cup" for the 2018 Mariachis series. In 2019, the Isotopes will transform into the Mariachis five times at Isotopes Park, presented by Modelo Especial.
The Mariachis series will feature three giveaways (Mariachis Fleece Blanket for the first 2,500 fans 21 and older courtesy of Modelo Especial on April 6, Adult Jerseys for the first 2,500 fans 16 and older courtesy of Palo Verde Generating Station on July 19 and a Ballet Folklórico Bobblehead on Aug. 11, courtesy of Pepsi).
