JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The opening game of Saturday’s scheduled doubleheader between the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and the Nashville Sounds has been suspended due to unplayable field conditions with the score tied at one in the bottom of the fourth inning. The game will resume Sunday at 12:05 p.m., with a seven-inning contest to follow. The finale of Saturday’s doubleheader has been canceled.

Fans who purchased tickets to Saturday's game online or over the phone will be able to exchange their rainout ticket through their My Tickets account. Fans who purchased a walk-up ticket should hold on to it, and it can be exchanged in person at the Miller Electric Box Office or by calling the box office at (904) 358-2846.

Gates open at 11:30 a.m. on a Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday. Fans can participate in a catch-on-the-field in-between games on Sunday. Kids can also feel like the pros after the finale of Sunday’s de facto doubleheader by running the bases.

In the opener of Saturday’s doubleheader, Jesse Winker (2) homered in the opening frame to give the Nashville Sounds an early 1-0 advantage.

Jacksonville responded with a run of its own in the first. Jacob Amaya and Peyton Burdick singled and Dan Myers walked to load the bases for Jordan Groshans, who singled in the game-tying run.

The game was called in the middle of the fourth inning.
