GRAND CHUTE, WI – Justin Jarvis took over the strikeout lead in the High-A classification of minor league baseball with his performance on July 29 against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Minor League Baseball took notice of Jarvis’s outing against the Kernels, too, and named him as the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week earlier today.

Jarvis allowed one hit, walked two, and struck out eight over six innings to pick up his eighth win of the season. The start was Jarvis’s eighth quality start of the season and helped the Timber Rattlers to break a ten-game losing streak.

The Milwaukee Brewers selected Jarvis in the fifth round of the 2018 draft out of Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, North Carolina. Jarvis leads all thirty teams in High-A baseball in strikeouts (120), innings pitched (104), and starts (20).

The Timber Rattlers and Jarvis are on the road to start a six-game series with the Quad Cities River Bandits on Tuesday night at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, Iowa.

Wisconsin’s next homestand is August 9 through August 14 against the South Bend Cubs. Tickets are available for all games in the series, but are going fast.

Tickets for individual home games for the remainder of the 2022 season are available online through timberrattlers.com, over the phone at (920) 733-4152, or in person at the Timber Rattlers Box Office located at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium now!
