Arkansas Travelers pitcher Connor Jones was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week for May 23-29 it was announced today by Minor League Baseball. Jones threw a seven inning no-hitter against the Amarillo Sod Poodles in the opening game of a doubleheader this past Thursday. Throwing 88 pitches total, Jones allowed just three base runners, all on walks in the third inning. Over eight starts this season Jones has a 2-2 record with a 3.32 ERA. The right-hander from Chesapeake, Virginia has totaled 43.1 innings, striking out 41 and holding opponents to a .192 batting average.
