Jose Siri Named to MWL Full-Season All-Star Team

Siri produced a 39-game hitting streak from June 22-August 3 that broke the Midwest League record that had stood for 40 years (previous record was 35, by Waterloo's Tony Toups in 1977). With 17 games to play, Siri needs one home run and one stolen base to become the first Midwest League player since 1982 to collect 20 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a season. Siri was also named in Baseball America's survey of Midwest League managers as the "Best Defensive Outfielder" and "Fastest Baserunner" in the league.
Siri becomes the 18th player in Dragons history to be selected to the full-season Midwest League all-star team and the first position player since Billy Hamilton in 2011. Past Dragons honorees have included:
