(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- The Charlotte Knights fell to the Durham Bulls 7-2 at Truist Field on Wednesday night in the second game of a six-game series.

RHP Nathan Wiles (7-1, 5.15) took home the win for the Bulls after giving up one run on five innings pitched. Charlotte's RHP Nick Nastrini (0-2, 4.15) made his Truist Field debut getting the start and was stuck with the loss after giving up two runs in 2.1 innings pitched while striking out five opposing batters.

In relief, RHP Mike Mayers provided 2.1 hitless innings while striking out two batters, walking one and only giving up one unearned run. RHP Jordan Holloway provided one scoreless and hitless inning in relief while striking two outs and only walking one batter.

Durham got an early two-run lead in the first inning and was cut in half in the bottom of the second inning by a solo home run from infielder Nate Mondou for the Knights to make the score 2-1.

During the middle innings, the Bulls tacked on four more runs to go up 6-1.

In the ninth inning, outfielder Victor Reyes added the second run of the game for Charlotte with an RBI double. Reyes leads the Knights this season with 79 RBI.

The Knights will continue the six-game homestand on Thursday night against the Durham Bulls (Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays). The "Voice of the Charlotte Knights," Matt Swierad and long-time Knights broadcaster Mike Pacheco will have the call for all of the action. First pitch on Thursday night is set for 7:04 p.m. from Truist Field.
