(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) – The Charlotte Knights walked-off with a 4-3 win in 10 innings over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in the finale of the seven-game series from Truist Field on Sunday evening.

Catcher Nate Nolan scored the game-winning run from third base on a sacrifice fly by second baseman Marco Hernández in the bottom of the 10th inning to complete Charlotte's come-from-behind win. The Knights scored all four runs over the final five innings of the game.

Nolan had a solid game for the Knights as he also launched his sixth home run of the season in the sixth inning. Shortstop Matt Reynolds also provided some power as he homered in the bottom of the eighth inning to tie the game at 3-3. It was his third home run of the season.

RHP Alex McRae did not factor in the decision despite a solid start on the hill. He allowed three runs on four hits over six innings. Charlotte’s bullpen combined to hold the Jumbo Shrimp scoreless over the final four innings of the game. LHP Bennett Sousa (1-1, 4.15) earned the win after a scoreless 10th inning in relief.

The Knights will now have an off day on Monday before opening a six-game series in Lawrenceville, GA on Tuesday against the Gwinnett Stripers. The “Voice of the Charlotte Knights” Matt Swierad will have the call on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte and www.CharlotteKnights.com on Tuesday.
