Burlington, Vermont the Lowell Spinners class A short season affiliate of the Boston Red Sox  were defeated 3-0 against the Vermont Lake Monster, class A short season affiliated of the Oakland A's.
The Spinners offense struggled to get going tonight against Lake Monster's pitching. The offense was only able to scatter 4 hits on the night.
Lone bright spot for the Spinners offense was Nick Decker with 2 base hits on the night, including a double.
Ryan Zeferjahn took the mound to start the game  for the Spinners, he went 3 solid innings. After Kelvin Sanchez took over going 3.2 innings before running into trouble.
Eventually Lake Monsters Kevin Richards ripped a base clearing triple to give a 3-0 lead in the seventh inning.
This seemingly was enough to put the Spinners away for the night as they could not respond after the three run burst.
