North Little Rock, AR-A late offensive surge carried the Arkansas Travelers to an 11-5 win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on Sunday afternoon at Dickey-Stephens Park. The victory keeps the Travs alone atop the North Division with eight games to play. Both teams rallied from deficits to take leads in the game with the Travelers final rally coming in the seventh inning thanks to an infield hit, three walks and a hit batsman. The Arkansas bullpen of Daniel Schlereth, David McKay and Matt Festa combined to surrender only an unearned run over 3.1 innings while four Naturals relievers gave up seven runs in the only three innings.
Moments That Mattered
* The Travs jumped out quickly as Braden Bishop doubled and then scored on Eric Filia's RBI hit in the first.
* Trailing for the first time in the game, Arkansas tied the score on a clutch two-out RBI hit from Dario Pizzano in the fifth inning.
* The tying and go-ahead runs in the seventh came in on a bases loaded walk by Chris Mariscal (off Sam Selman) and a bases loaded hit by pitch of Joe DeCarlo (against Franco Terrero).
