MOBILE, AL - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following roster move on Sunday: LHP Nick Ramirez  has been promoted to Triple-A Colorado Springs
Ramirez, 28, a converted first baseman to pitcher this season appeared in a team-best 48 games and went 7-4 with a 1.37 ERA with 56 strikeouts. His 48 appearances lead the club and is tied for third in the Southern League. His .199 opponents' batting average is second among Southern League relievers this season.

Ramirez posted a 1.86 ERA over 10 appearances in August and boasted a 1.28 ERA in 22 games during the second-half of the season. Drafted by the Brewers in the fourth round in 2011 out of Cal State Fullerton as a first baseman, Ramirez has hit 95 minor league home runs. The Fullerton, CA native is the Shuckers all-time leader in homers with 30, including two this season.
Overall, Ramirez appeared in a club-record 292 games with Biloxi and is the club record holder with three grand slams including one this season on June 13 against Jacksonville. Ramirez is also in the record books as being part of the combined no-hitter on August 14 versus Tennessee, tossing a scoreless sixth inning. He was named a midseason Southern Leauge All-Star as a first baseman in 2014 with the Huntsville Stars and in 2015 as a Shucker. He was named a midseason All-Star as a pitcher this season.
Ramirez has appeared in 425 games at the Double-A level prior to this first promotion to Triple-A. Ramirez will bolster the SkySox bullpen for their Pacific Coast League playoff run.
Sunday's move places the current Shuckers roster at 24, one below the league-maximum.
