LMB: A 27 años de la llegada de Alfredo Harp Helú a los Diablos Rojos
Ciudad de México (diablos.com.mx) 25 de enero.- Un día como hoy, pero de 1994 se anunció en una conferencia de medios la compra de los Diablos Rojos por el C.P. Alfredo Harp Helú, para convertirse en el séptimo propietario del México y bajo su tutela ha consolidado a la Pandilla
Ciudad de México (diablos.com.mx) 25 de enero.- Un día como hoy, pero de 1994 se anunció en una conferencia de medios la compra de los Diablos Rojos por el C.P. Alfredo Harp Helú, para convertirse en el séptimo propietario del México y bajo su tutela ha consolidado a la Pandilla Roja como la organización más exitosa del beisbol mexicano.
Antes de la llegada del señor Harp a la directiva escarlata, el México había conquistado 10 campeonatos en poco más de 50 años de historia, bajo la nueva administración el México se consolidó como el equipo con más campeonatos en la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol al ganar los gallardetes de 1994, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2014 y llegar hasta el momento a 16 campeonatos en la LMB.
El CP Alfredo Harp Helú es el propietario que más años ha estado al frente del México y el que más juegos ganados y campeonatos tiene como propietario del México con 2,897 triunfos y seis banderines en 26 años.
Con la llegada del C.P. Alfredo Harp Helú y su familia, los Diablos Rojos no sólo han logrado convertirse en el equipo más ganador del beisbol mexicano, si no también en cuanto a la labor social el México se convirtió en un equipo socialmente responsable al ser parte año tras año del programa Home Runs Banamex, con lo que al finalizar cada temporada, la Fundación Alfredo Harp Helú y Fomento Social Banamex donan una suma de dinero acumulada por la actuación de los jugadores del México en cada campaña, hasta el mes de agosto de 2019 se han entregado 338.34 millones de pesos a organizaciones de los sectores de salud, cultura y deporte tanto en Oaxaca como en la Ciudad de México.
El señor Harp también tomó la decisión de crear un fondo de apoyo para el retiro, con el objeto de premiar el esfuerzo, la dedicación, entrega y trayectoria de jugadores, tanto de los Diablos Rojos del México como de los Guerreros de Oaxaca, que hayan participado en cualquiera de estas organizaciones por un plazo mínimo de diez temporadas. Este apoyo funciona por medio de un fideicomiso cuyo comité técnico otorga, de acuerdo con la actuación y el desempeño del jugador correspondiente, un apoyo económico mensual vitalicio a partir de su retiro.
Por iniciativa del C.P. Alfredo Harp, se creó la academia de beisbol que lleva su nombre y que se encuentra en el municipio de San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, y que hasta el momento ha visto pasar a poco más de 800 jugadores en sus diferentes cursos desde su inauguración en 2009, hasta el momento 10 de ellos han llegado a las Grandes Ligas y dos han sido ya ganadores y representantes de México en la Serie Mundial, 55 jugadores de la Academia de Beisbol Alfredo Harp Helú se encuentran en las sucursales de equipos ligamayoristas; y muchos de ellos ya son jugadores profesionales en el beisbol mexicano jugando para la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol y Liga Mexicana del Pacífico.
Y como cereza del pastel, en el 2019 el señor Alfredo Harp cumplió su palabra y después de poco más de tres años de construcción, se inauguró en la Ciudad de México, la casa definitiva de los Diablos Rojos, por primera vez su historia la Pandilla Escarlata tiene un estadio propio y es gracias al amor y pasión que tiene don Alfredo Harp y su familia, no sólo por el beisbol y por los Diablos, también por nuestro país y gracias a su entusiasmo el beisbol escarlata se ha mantenido de manera permanente en la CDMX.
