LMB: Arranca la historia de los Conspiradores de Querétaro

Querétaro tendrá por primera vez en la historia del beisbol un equipo.
Es la segunda expansión del circuito en los últimos años tras la llegada de Mariachis de Guadalajara y El Águila en 2020.

(www.lmb.com.mx) 8 de noviembre de 2022.- La Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (LMB) presentó oficialmente al equipo Conspiradores de Querétaro, el cual es propiedad del empresario queretano Francisco Orozco, quien hasta este 2022 poseía el 40% de las acciones del Club Algodoneros de Unión Laguna.
El Presidente de la LMB, el Mtro. Horacio de la Vega, anunció la llegada del nuevo equipo de expansión de la Liga a unos metros del acueducto icónico de la ciudad.
“Con Querétaro estaremos en nueve de las diez ciudades más importantes del país. Estoy agradecido con los dieciocho dueños de los equipos por creer en Querétaro para un equipo de expansión", mencionó De la Vega Flores, quien además destacó que los ingresos económicos de la Liga son actualmente 10 veces mayores, mientras que la exposición en televisión aumentó un 700% en las dos más recientes temporadas.
Será la primera vez que el beisbol profesional arribe a esta ciudad, la cual debe su nombre al vocablo ‘crettaro’ de origen purépecha, que se traduce como “juego de pelota” que se practicaba antiguamente en territorio mexicano. Ahora la pelota caliente llega a la ciudad del acueducto y generará cerca de 400 empleos directos y 1,000 indirectos en una ciudad que concentra a 1.05 millones de mexicanos.
“Desde hace año y medio tuve el deseo de tener esta franquicia. Este es el primer paso para estar listos para marzo del 2024”, expresó Francisco Orozco, propietario del equipo y de NOX Móvil, empresa de servicio de internet inalámbrico.
Por su parte, Edward Sánchez del Río, director general del Instituto del Deporte de Querétaro (INDEREQ), subrayó la importancia que tiene para el Gobernador del Estado, Mauricio Kuri, impulsar el deporte en la entidad.
“Es una nueva era en el deporte queretano. Tendremos un equipo de beisbol profesional. Es una gran noticia para la afición, la economía y la actividad deportiva. Cuando hablamos de Querétaro, hablamos de crecimiento y desarrollo deportivo. El beisbol detona la convivencia familiar y el sano esparcimiento”, apuntó Sánchez del Río.
La comentarista deportiva Inés Sainz destacó que el beisbol “levanta pasiones y es de gran tradición en nuestro país”, por lo que tiene un lugar preponderante en la vida de los mexicanos.
Gerardo Quezada, con experiencia como directivo en LMB, fungirá como director deportivo de la nueva franquicia y celebró la llegada de esta franquicia a Querétaro, un “espectáculo que es para toda la familia”.
El parque de pelota de los Conspiradores tendrá su sede en el municipio de El Marqués, por lo que estará muy cerca del aeropuerto y de la zona industrial del estado. Se espera que la primera piedra se coloque a principios del 2023.
“Creo que la sumatoria que brinda ahora Querétaro a la ecuación de la liga nos fortalece. Nos sentimos orgullosos y vamos a esperar con ansias el arranque de la temporada 2024, con la nueva franquicia de los Conspiradores. Sin duda, es un proyecto que va a dar mucho de qué hablar en el futuro y estamos muy contentos de que se sume la franquicia número diecinueve a la LMB para la temporada 2024”. Esta es la segunda expansión del circuito en la administración del Mtro. Horacio de la Vega, tras la anexión de los equipos Mariachis de Guadalajara y El Águila de Veracruz.
