Con base en su poder, Javier Robles se ganó su sitio en el Salón de la Fama del Beisbol Mexicano como parte de la generación 2023.
A lo largo de 21 temporadas en la LMB sólo vistió tres franelas: debutó con los Algodoneros del Unión Laguna, con quienes jugó en 1992 y 1993. En 1994 llegó a los Tigres, con quienes jugó durante 14 campañas y vivió las mudanzas del equipo felino a Puebla en 2004 y a Cancún en 2007. Finalizó su carrera con cinco temporadas, de 2008 a 2012 con los Piratas de Campeche.
Lideró el circuito de verano en carreras anotadas en 1995 con los Tigres con 93 y fue el campeón de bateo en 2005 con los Tigres de la Angelópolis, año en el que bateó para .392 de promedio y fue designado el Jugador Más Valioso de la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol.
Javier Robles Acuña, nacido en El Bule Ahome, Sinaloa, el 4 de julio de 1970, fue campeón en cuatro ocasiones con el equipo de bengala: 1997, 2000, 2001 y 2005.
Se retiró con un promedio de bateo de .305, anotó 1,259 carreras, conectó 2,227 imparables, 389 dobles, 60 triples, 257 palos de vuelta entera, remolcó 1,227 carreras y se robó 154 bases en 2.096 encuentros.
En nueve temporadas bateó por encima de .300 de promedio. Además, ocupa el puesto 16 de todos los tiempos en imparables con 2,227 y el número 11 en dobletes con 389.
Su nombre se repite varias ocasiones en el Quién es Quién, el libro de records de la LMB: más homeruns de campo con casa llena conectados en un juego (1), lo consiguió con los Tigres el 25 de mayo de 1997 ante Minatitlán, el récord lo comparte con otros tres bateadores; más triple plays realizados por un tercera base en una temporada (2), con los Tigres en 1999; más carreras producidas en juego de siete entradas (7), con los Tigres el 30 de mayo de 1999 ante El Águila, marca que comparte con David Domínguez de San Luis; más bases obtenidas con hits en una entrada (8), con los Tigres en 2001 ante Torreón, récord compartido con 24 bateadores; más homeruns conectados en un mismo inning (2), lo consiguió en 2001 con los Tigres y comparte la marca con otros 24 bateadores; y el de más carreras anotadas en un juego de 9 entradas (6), lo logró con los Tigres el 15 de julio de 2005 ante Campeche, la marca la comparte con otros seis bateadores.
Javier Robles fue un pelotero sinónimo de constancia, dueño de un guante seguro, pero con el bat se ganó la inmortalidad y el derecho a ingresar al Salón de la Fama del Beisbol Mexicano.
