LMB: Reconocimiento a lo mejor del beisbol mexicano

Monclova, Coah. (www.lmb.com.mx) 17 de junio de 2022.- Este viernes se premió a lo más sobresaliente de los últimos años en la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol. Monclova, Coahuila, fue el epicentro en donde estuvo toda la constelación de estrellas.
Antonio Rosique, reconocido comentarista con más de 25 años de experiencia, fue el encargado de conducir el evento que se llevó a cabo en el Club de Golf El Socorro y en el que se reconoció a figuras históricas de la pelota mexicana:
La Gala fue el rencuentro oficial en el que tras tres años se volvió a reunir lo más selecto del beisbol nacional en un solo lugar; es por ello que se entregó un premio pendientes que fue el de ‘Ejecutivo del año’ de 2019, el cual fue para el anfitrión de la noche: el Lic. Gerardo Benavides Pape, Presidente del Consejo de Administración de Acereros de Monclova.
“Hay palabras que podemos perder la magnitud de su significado. ‘Bienvenidos’, para el diccionario, es ‘que se recibe con agrado, especialmente porque llega en el momento oportuno’”, comentó Benavides Pape al recalcar que no lo decía por cliché o por protocolo, sino porque así lo siente todo Monclova, “tierra de gente buena y trabajadora” que esperó años por este momento, “se les recibe con agrado porque esto llega en el momento oportuno”.
Por su parte, el Mtro. Horacio de la Vega Flores, Presidente Ejecutivo de la LMB, hizo énfasis en el tiempo que le dedica el Lic. Benavides a la Liga y al beisbol, recalcó sus inicios como directivo en la Liga Norte de México, su campeonato con Pericos de Puebla y el de 2019 con Acereros de Monclova. “Es un hombre que busca trascender y viene de una familia que ha aportado a la cultura, a la economía y a la educación en esta ciudad”, recalcó el Presidente del circuito; además, agradeció el apoyo de los patrocinadores y de las televisoras que permitieron llegar a 62.9 millones de espectadores en 2021.
En la Gala se entregaron reconocimientos a lo más destacado en lo deportivo y en las áreas de mercadotecnia y se entregaron anillos conmemorativos a los seleccionados de la Zona Sur y de la Zona Norte.
También fue momento de homenajear a tres leyendas de la pelota mexicana: Jorge Cantú, pelotero que llegó a 100 cuadrangulares en Grandes Ligas y a 100 en la LMB; Óliver Pérez, mexicano con más temporadas en MLB con 20 y a Joakim Soria, monclovense con efectividad de 3.11 en 14 años en la Gran Carpa.
Para cerrar la Gala hubo un show del comediante Fernando Bonilla con su personaje ‘El Diente de Oro’ el cual llenó de risas cada una de las mesas de le memorable Gala de las Estrellas.
