Wichita, KS–Lael Lockhart set the tone with a scoreless start of 5.1 innings and the Arkansas Travelers took down the Wichita Wind Surge, 5-3 on Friday night. Tyler Cleveland and Jimmy Kingsbury backed Lockhart’s effort with good work out of the bullpen. Kingsbury recorded the final seven outs for his fourth save. Josh Caron led the offensive effort with a three hit game including a double and an early go-ahead home run. Sammy Siani pitched in with two hits and an RBI.

* Caron’s blast came in the second inning and was only scoring over the first five innings of the game.
* Cleveland stranded two inherited runners at second and third by recording the final two outs in the sixth inning. Kingsbury then left two runners on at the corners (in a one run game) by securing the final out of the seventh.
