Loons Announce 2027 Schedule for 20th Anniversary Season

MIDLAND, Mich. – The Great Lakes Loons are pleased to announce the schedule for the 2027 season. Throughout the year, the Loons will be celebrating 20 seasons of baseball in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Events and promotions throughout the season will celebrate the rich history of the Great Lakes Loons dating back to the opening of Dow Diamond and the inaugural season in 2007. Plans for the 20th anniversary season will be announced in the coming months.

Opening Day

The 20th season of Loons baseball gets underway on the road with a three-game series against the Dayton Dragons on April 2-4. Opening Day at Dow Diamond will be Tuesday, April 6, against the Fort Wayne TinCaps. In total, 12 games will be played at home in April.

Celebrate the 4th of July with the Loons

In 2027, fans will see the return of home dates at Dow Diamond over the 4th of July weekend. Starting on June 29, the Loons will play in Midland 12 times over 13 days. Make your plans to spend part of your holiday at the ballpark with games against the Dayton Dragons scheduled for July 2-4.

Michigan Teams Go Head-to-Head

The 12-team Midwest League is made up of teams spanning six different states. Michigan is the only state to house three different teams. Baseball just means more in the mitten, and it shows when two of those teams share the field. More than a third of Loons home games in 2027 will be against Michigan teams, including 18 of the final 24 home games.

• April 20-25 – West Michigan Whitecaps
• July 6-11 – Lansing Lugnuts
• July 27-August 1 – West Michigan Whitecaps
• August 24-29 – Lansing Lugnuts

Final Series of the Regular Season

As we have seen in recent seasons, Los Angeles Dodgers affiliates are routinely competing for playoff berths at the end of the regular season. The Loons will wrap up their home schedule for the 20th season August 24-29 with the Lansing Lugnuts in town.

Single Game Tickets

Single game tickets will go on sale to the general public in March 2027.
