Four of the game’s five runs were scored in the first two innings. Ronan Kopp notched two outs but did not finish the first. A walk and back-to-back singles loaded the bases for Wisconsin. The Loons took the lead, plating two in the bottom of the first. Chris Alleyne and Alex Freeland singled to put runners on the corners. Luis Diaz skied a ball to center field to score Alleyne. Freeland stole both second base and third base. Ismael Alcantara scooted him home with an infield RBI single.

Wisconsin tied up the score in the next half-inning. With two one-out singles, Matt Wood stepped up and struck an 0-2 into centerfield to tie the game. Tyranski stranded the bases loaded, and the Timber Rattlers would not score again.
