MIDLAND, Mich. – Dow Diamond, home of the Great Lakes Loons, is about to light up like never before. The Loons are excited to announce the Loons Holiday Lights Extravaganza, presented by Dow, a 45-night holiday experience running Nov. 14 through Jan. 2. Tickets are on sale NOW at Loons.com/HolidayLights.
Guests will step into a 360-degree walkthrough display featuring more than a million lights as the ballpark is transformed into a winter wonderland. Designed for families, friends, neighbors and visitors, the Extravaganza is a new way to gather, celebrate and make memories during the most meaningful time of year, from a child’s first visit to annual family traditions.
“The Loons have always been about bringing people together at Dow Diamond, and this is a chance to do that in a whole new season,” said Chris Mundhenk, President and General Manager of the Great Lakes Loons. “We wanted to create a new holiday tradition for families and friends across the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond, where you can walk through more than a million lights, meet Lou E. Claus and make memories that last long after the season ends.”
“Dow has been part of the Great Lakes Bay community for more than a century, and we are proud to be the presenting partner of the Loons Holiday Lights Extravaganza,” said Heather Gallegos, president of the Dow
Company Foundation. “This new tradition will bring families and neighbors together to enjoy the magic and festivities of the season. We are excited to help make it possible.”
