COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Louisville Bats (53-74) were shut out in Tuesday night's matchup against the Columbus Clippers (73-54) by a 5-0 score at Huntington Park. For the second straight night, the Bats could not get it done despite out-hitting their opponent.

A pair of Major League rehabbers were slotted in the two and three spots in Louisville's batting order tonight, designated hitter Derek Dietrich and catcher Curt Casali.
Dietrich went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in his second rehab appearance, while Casali went 1-for-3 with a single, catching 5.0 innings before being removed from the game for Chadwick Tromp. Casali allowed a pair of passed balls behind the plate in his third rehab appearance for Louisville.
It was all Columbus from the jump tonight, with Ka'ai Tom's three-run home run in the bottom of the first sinking Bats starter Vladimir Gutierrez (4-11, 6.48) to a loss. He finished the night tossing 4.2 innings, allowing five earned runs on three hits and two home runs, walking three and striking out five. The second homer came in the form of a Mark Mathias two-run shot in the fifth.
Louisville relievers Jackson Stephens, Tim Collins, Wandy Peralta and Matt Bowman combined for 3.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
The clubs continue their four-game series Wednesday night with right-hander Tejay Antone (2-7, 5.53) slated to start for Louisville, with right-hander Shao-Ching Chiang (7-8, 5.31) set to start for Columbus, with another 6:35 first pitch.
