Manning, Azocar & Paredes Named Season-Ending All-Stars

The season-ending All-Star squad was voted on by respective Eastern League managers and members of the media.
RIGHT-HANDED STARTING PITCHER: MATT MANNING
(11-4, 2.46 ERA)
Matt Manning has started 23 games for the Erie SeaWolves this season and has a record of 11-4 with 142 strikeouts and a 2.46 ERA over 128.0 inning of work. Manning currently leads the league in strikeouts (142) and WHIP (0.97) and is also ranked among the league leaders in batting average against (.188-2nd), wins (11-tied 2nd), winning percentage (.730-tied 2nd), ERA (2.46-3rd), and innings pitched (128.0-6th). Matt, who is rated by MLB.com as the second-best prospect in the Detroit organization, was a member of the Western Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and was chosen for the American League roster for the 2019 Futures Game in Cleveland. He was also named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the period of April 4th-April 14th and was chosen as having the "Best Breaking Pitch" in the Eastern League this season in Baseball America's Best Tools rankings.
OUTFIELDER: JOSE AZOCAR

Erie outfielder Jose Azocar is hitting .291 (134-for-461) with 19 doubles, 10 home runs, 56 RBIs, 62 runs scored, and nine stolen bases in 118 games this season while making his Double-A debut for the SeaWolves. Azocar currently leads the league in hits (134) and is also ranked among the league leaders in batting average (.291-2nd), total bases (187-4th), and runs scored (62-7th). Jose was the starting centerfielder for the Western Division at the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond and went 1-for-4 with one RBI in the Western Division's 5-0 victory. He was also chosen as having the "Best Outfield Arm" in the Eastern League this season in Baseball America's Best Tools rankings.
UTILITY PLAYER: ISAAC PAREDES

Isaac Paredes is hitting .290 (128-for-442) with 23 doubles, 11 home runs, 58 RBIs, and 59 runs scored in 117 games for the Erie SeaWolves this season while appearing in games at third base and shortstop. Paredes, who is rated by MLB.com as the fifth best prospect in the Detroit organization, is currently ranked among the league leaders in hits (128-2nd), on-base percentage (.373-2nd), batting average (.290-3rd), total bases (186-5th), OPS (.794-5th), RBIs (58-tied 8th), walks (52-tied 8th), and runs scored (59-tied 9th). Isaac was named to the Western Division roster for the 2019 Eastern League All-Star Game in Richmond, was chosen as a member of the American League roster for the 2019 Futures Game in Cleveland, and was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of July 29th-August 4th.
