Lugo played a vital role in the Drive bringing home a series win. His offensive power landed him on the lineup five out of the six games. He made his 21 at bats count by playing a role in 13 runs and totaling eight hits.
The Puerto Rico native really shined in the fourth and fifth game of the series. On August 19th, he knocked in four of Greenville’s 10 runs and homered twice. Lugo decided that hitting two home runs in one game wasn’t enough, and he smacked two out the next night as well.
He continues to prove to be an elite member of the Boston Red Sox farm system and an essential part to The Greenville Drive’s success.
