Infielder Will Matthiessen’s walk-off home run lifted the Grasshoppers over the Blue Rocks in the bottom of the ninth while hits were also recorded by Eli Wilson with a double and Tres Gonzalez.
Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Thomas Harrington as he tallied eight strikeouts and only gave up two hits in seven innings of work. Grant Ford recorded the win for the Grasshoppers and improved to 3-0 on the season.
Tyler Schoff took the loss for the Blue Rocks and moved to 3-3 on the season.
