Manchester- Reese McGuire went 3-for-5 with a double and two singles, but Altoona rallied on Sunday afternoon to beat the Fisher Cats 6-5 in ten innings at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
New Hampshire was two outs away from a series win over the Curve, but Altoona scored twice in the top of the ninth inning on a double by Jerrick Suiter to tie the game. Cole Tucker drove in Jin-de Jhang with a single off reliever Jose Fernandez (1-1) in the tenth to give Altoona the win. Tanner Anderson (9-8) worked two scoreless innings in relief to earn the win for the Curve.

Altoona (65-60) opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning when Elvis Escobar ripped a two-out, two-run double, plating Anderson Feliz and Michael Suchy.
The Fisher Cats (50-75) tied the game in the bottom of the inning. Anthony Alford doubled and scored on a single by Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to make it 2-1. McGuire singled and would come around to score on a base knock by Gunnar Heidt.
New Hampshire took its first lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Harold Ramirez singled and stole second, scoring on McGuire's third hit of the game, a sharp single to left field to put the Fisher Cats in front 3-2. New Hampshire couldn't hold the lead for starter Ryan Borucki. The Curve tied the game in the top of the seventh inning when Pablo Reyes drew a bases loaded walk. Borucki allowed two runs in his six innings, striking out five.
The Fisher Cats took the lead again 5-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Emilio Guerrero smacked a two-run double but the Curve pushed the two runs across in the ninth against closer Andrew Case.
New Hampshire will open a three-game series in Binghamton on Monday night at 6:35 p.m. The final home series of the 2017 season starts on Thursday night with the Hartford Yard Goats.
