JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Tyler McKay was named High-A East Pitcher of the Week for the week ending August 16th. The right-hander threw six perfect innings for the BlueClaws on Saturday at Hudson Valley.
JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Tyler McKay was named High-A East Pitcher of the Week for the week ending August 16th. The right-hander threw six perfect innings for the BlueClaws on Saturday at Hudson Valley.
McKay needed only 54 pitches to navigate his six perfect innings. He struck out four hitters among the 18 that he retired and paired with Manual Silva on nine innings of no-hit ball. The BlueClaws allowed one hit in a 2-0, 12 inning win.

McKay joins Jhailyn Ortiz (Hitter of the Week) and Kevin Gowdy (Pitcher of the Week) as BlueClaws to win High-A East weekly honors this year.
