SALISBURY, MD - Adonis Medina struck out nine and gave up one run over six innings to lead the BlueClaws to a 4-1 win over Delmarva on Thursday night at Perdue Stadium.
The win on Thursday gives the BlueClaws (6-9/46-39) a win in the three-game series with the Shorebirds (9-6/38-44).
Lakewood held Delmarva to four runs in the three-game series and Delmarva did drive in a run in the last two games of the series, scoring on Wednesday via a wild pitch and balk and via a wild pitch off Medina on Thursday night.
The BlueClaws jumped out to a 2-0 first-inning lead on RBI singles by Edgar Cabral and Henri Lartigue off Delmarva starter Lucas Humpal.
The Shorebirds got on the board in the third inning when Cole Billingsley scored on a wild pitch to bring Delmarva within 2-1.
Darick Hall, named South Atlantic League Player of the Month for June earlier in the day, singled in a run in the top of the fifth to put the BlueClaws up 3-1. It was Hall's league-leading 63rd RBI of the season and his Minor League Baseball leading 59th RBI since May 1st.
Juan Luis, playing his third game as a BlueClaw, hit his first BlueClaws home run to put Lakewood up 4-1 in the sixth inning.
That was plenty for Medina, who went six, allowing one run with nine strikeouts to improve to 3-6 on the season.

Lucas Humpal (4-7) took the loss, allowing four runs over seven innings.
