Memphis drops finale of series at Oklahoma City

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Redbirds wrapped up a six-game road trip against the Oklahoma City Comets (Triple-A, Los Angeles Dodgers) with a 4-3 walk-off loss on Sunday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Third baseman Brody Moore recorded both Memphis RBI hits in the loss. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Left fielder Bryan Torres went 2-for-3 and drove in a run with a bases loaded walk. The Redbirds walked seven times.
Starting pitcher Curtis Taylor allowed two runs on five hits, walked two and struck out three in 4.2 innings pitched. One run allowed scored after the right-handed pitcher came out of the game. Zack Weiss gave Memphis 2.1 scoreless innings and struck out three.
Nick Raquet (1-3) allowed a walk-off double to former Redbird Luken Baker with a full count, two outs and Memphis ahead by a run. The Redbirds won the series over the Comets, 4-2.
The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, September 2 to begin up a six-game series at AutoZone Park against the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A, Washington Nationals) with first pitch scheduled for 6:45 p.m. CDT.
