MEMPHIS, TN – The Memphis Redbirds continued a 12-game road trip at the Iowa Cubs on Friday night with a 7-5 loss at Principal Park in game four of the six-game series.

Center fielder Richie Palacios started the game with a leadoff home run, his first hit as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals organization since being acquired last week in a trade with Cleveland. The blast was the first leadoff home run for Memphis this season. Palacios finished the night 2-for-4 with two runs, a home run, a double, a walk and two RBI.

Designated hitter Juan Yepez and right fielder Matt Koperniak also brought home runs with extra base hits. Yepez finished the night 1-for-3 with an RBI double and two walks while Koperniak posted a 1-for-2 effort with a triple, a walk and two RBI.

Gordon Graceffo made his first start and second appearance off of the Injured List. The right-handed pitcher tossed 3.0 innings, allowed two runs on four hits, struck out two batters and walked none.

The Redbirds (38-35) return to AutoZone Park on Wednesday, June 28 to begin a six-game homestand at 7:05p.m. CDT against the Nashville Sounds. You can find more information on upcoming promotions at AutoZone Park here.
