The offseason hasn't even begun, but the Marlins have already made quite a splash.
Miami announced the signing of Cuban prospects Victor Victor Mesa and Victor Mesa Jr. on Monday, moves that were reported by MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez over the weekend. According to Sanchez, Victor Victor Mesa was signed for $5.25 million, while Victor Mesa Jr. received $1 million.
Marlins CEO Derek Jeter and president of baseball operations Michael Hill welcomed the outfield duo during a news conference Monday morning.

Victor Victor, 22, became Miami's No. 1 prospect upon signing. He had been ranked by MLB.com as the top international free agent, earning praise for his speed and defense as well as his potential hit tool. Mesa Jr., a 17-year-old switch-hitter, is ranked outside the organization's top 30. The pair defected from Cuba in May and were declared free agents four months later.
Victor Victor has played professionally since he was 16 and already has logged more than 300 games on the island. He was a member of the Cuban team that competed in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
