BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Milwaukee Brewers announced the following roster move late Monday afternoon. OF Michael Reed  has been activated from the 7-day DL (ankle) and INF Art Charles  has been placed on the 7-day DL, retroactive to July 1. 

BIRMINGHAM, AL - The Milwaukee Brewers announced the following roster move late Monday afternoon. OF Michael Reed  has been activated from the 7-day DL (ankle) and INF Art Charles  has been placed on the 7-day DL, retroactive to July 1. 

Reed, 24, was placed on the disabled list on June 4 with an ankle injury. At the time, his seven home runs led the Shuckers. He is currently batting .215 with 16 runs batted in. A fifth-round draft pick by the Brewers in 2011, Reed has played in 15 MLB games with Milwaukee between the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Charles, 26, is batting .176 with two home runs and 17 RBI in his first season in the Brewers organization. The Bakersfield College alum and 2010 Blue Jays draft pick was claimed off waivers after winning the triple crown in the independent Can-Am league in 2016.
With Monday's moves, the current Shuckers roster remains at 25 players.

The Shuckers return to MGM Park for a patriotic five-game homestand against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, July 4-8. The homestand gets underway with an Independence Day celebration that includes a Post-Game Fireworks Extravaganza featuring 1,000 pounds of explosives and 10 miles of wiring. The series will conclude with Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, July 8 to honor all branches of our military with a pregame ceremony and a full night of patriotism.
