Michael Stefanic Takes Home PCL Player of the Week

Minor League Baseball announced Salt Lake Bees infielder Michael Stefanic as the winner of the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week award for Sept. 5 - Sept 11 today. Stefanic is the seventh Bee to win a PCL weekly award this year and the fourth batter, joining David MacKinnon, Jose Rojas and Orlando Martinez.

In six games last week Stefanic collected 12 hits, including three doubles, a triple and two home runs while also walking five times. Stefanic led the league with a .571 batting average, .654 on-base percentage and 1.095 slugging percentage. The infielder also led Minor League Baseball by reaching base safely 17 times during the week.
The Boise, Idaho native is in his second year with the Salt Lake Bees and fifth year overall in the Angels organization after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent out of Westmont College in 2018.

The Bees start a six-game road trip in Texas against the Sugarland Space Cowboys on Tuesday. The team returns home on Monday, Sept. 19 for the final homestand of the season. Tickets and additional information about the Bees final six home games are available at www.slbees.com.
