Mike Tauchman Named PCL Player of the Month for May
Albuquerque Isotopes outfielder Mike Tauchman has been named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Month for May, as announced by the League Office.

Tauchman, 27, led the PCL last month with 44 hits, 31 runs scored and 81 total bases. The Palatine, Ill. native also finished the month second in the league with a .379 batting average, 19 total bases, .698 slugging percentage, 1.125 OPS and was tied for second with 24 RBI.
Tauchman recorded 12 multi-hit games in May and connected on his first professional grand slam on May 6 against El Paso.
On the final day of the month, the Bradley University (Ill.) alum hit a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning to help Albuquerque defeat Fresno, 5-4.
The PCL honored Tauchman as its Player of the Week for the period of May 14-20 during which he hit .417 (10-for-24) while leading the circuit with eight runs scored, 27 total bases, five home runs and a 1.125 slugging percentage in six games.
A 10th round selection in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, Tauchman is currently in his sixth season with the Rockies organization. He is hitting .385 (60-for-156) with nine home runs in 39 games since rejoining the Isotopes from Colorado on April 22.
