GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Milwaukee Brewers have announced that Jett Bandy will begin a rehabilitation assignment with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Thursday, August 31. First pitch against the Beloit Snappers is scheduled for 7:05pm.

Bandy was hitting .214 with six homers and 18RBI in 50 games with the Brewers this season. He suffered a broken rib in a game against the Chicago Cubs on July 30 after he was hit by a pitch and was placed on the Milwaukee's ten-day disabled list on August 3. Bandy came to the Brewers on December 13, 2016 in a trade that sent former Timber Rattlers Martin Maldonado and Drew Gagnon to the Los Angeles Angels.

Bandy will join fellow Brewers catcher Andrew Susac, who is already with the Timber Rattlers on a rehab assignment. Susac, who homered and walked in last night's game, is scheduled to be with the Rattlers again tonight. Bandy will be with the Rattlers tonight and tomorrow.

Bandy becomes the ninth member of the 2017 Milwaukee Brewers to report to the Timber Rattlers for a rehabilitation assignment. Chase Anderson, Ryan Braun, Matt Garza, Eric Sogard, Brent Suter, Susac, Jonathan Villar, and Stephen Vogt have also played for Wisconsin this season.
