Lewis Brinson has picked up where he left off last season in dominating Pacific Coast League pitching.
The Brewers top prospect went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and a stolen base as Triple-A Colorado Springs beat Memphis, 5-1, to earn a split of its doubleheader at Security Service Field. He was 5-for-8 across both games.

Box score
Brinson singled to center field leading off the first and came around to score on a double by Ryan Cordell, Milwaukee's 16th-ranked prospect. After striking out in the third, MLB.com's No. 16 overall prospect came to the plate to lead off the fifth.
The Redbirds had trimmed the Sky Sox's lead to 2-1 on an RBI single by Luke Voit in the top of the frame, but Brinson needed only two pitches to restore the advantage. The 22-year-old outfielder took a ball from reliever Kevin Herget before depositing his second offering over the center field wall for his third homer of the season and second in four games.

Brinson wrapped up his day by singling up the middle and swiping second in the sixth. The 2012 first-round pick recorded his fourth multi-hit effort in five games, during which he's 12-for-22 with five extra-base hits.

Acquired from the Rangers in the Jonathan Lucroy deal at last season's Trade Deadline, Brinson has hit safely in all nine games in which he's appeared this season, his first full year in the PCL. The Florida native raised his average to .410, which ranks third on the circuit behind Reno's Ketel Marte (.429) Sacramento's Christian Arroyo (.429). Between this season and a brief stay with Colorado Springs last year, he's hit .390 in 32 PCL games.
The Redbirds captured the opener, 5-1, although Brinson went 2-for-4 with a double. Todd Cunningham paced the Redbirds with a homer and two RBIs.
