Support the Jersey Shore BlueClaws & the Minor League Baseball Relief Act

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - The bi-partisan Minor League Baseball Relief Act is set to be voted on by members of Congress over the next few weeks and the BlueClaws are asking for the community's help for Minor League Baseball here at the Jersey Shore all across the country.

Fans are asked to visit MinorLeagueBaseballRelief.com. On the site, fans can fill out a form through which their local representative will be contacted directly and encouraged to cosponsor the Save Minor League Baseball Relief Act.

"While the BlueClaws are certainly excited to be back playing this year, the last 16 months have been extremely challenging financially for our team and everyone across the industry," said BlueClaws Team President Joe Ricciutti. "Passage of this bill would go a long way to helping out teams such as the BlueClaws and we thank everyone for their continued support."

The bill repurposes leftover COVID-19 relief funds for an emergency grant program designed to help teams recover from the tremendous economic impact of the last 16 months.

"The BlueClaws and Minor League Baseball continue to be the most affordable and family-friendly sport in communities across the nation," said Ricciutti. "One of our most popular tickets continues to be our Boardwalk Bundle, which includes a game ticket, boardwalk game passes, dinner, and dessert all for just $16 per person."

Ricciutti further noted the impact of baseball in communities across the country.

"The BlueClaws and teams all over the country have been economic drivers in their regions," said Ricciutti. "Hundreds of local vendors, hotels, restaurants, and area businesses, plus thousands of families benefit from Minor League Baseball in their communities. This critical legislation helps preserve this economic activity for generations to come."

Pre-pandemic, MiLB Clubs employed more than 3,300 full-time employees and nearly 32,000 part-time and seasonal employees.

The BlueClaws, the Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment, celebrating their 20th season in 2021. The team installed a nine hole family Mini Golf Course and boardwalk game area before the 2018 season. This year, the BlueClaws re-branded to the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, formally embracing the support the team has received over the last 20 years to the tune of over 7.7 million fans.
