Nicolas CARREÑO (LHP)
3-1, 1.17 ERA, 4 GS, 23.0 IP, 12 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 HR, 11 BB, 27 K, 4 GDP, .152 BAA
During the month of August, Carreño was Brooklyn's most effective starter. The 20-year-old led the team in strikeouts (27) and wins (3) and took home New York Mets Minor League Pitcher of the Week after allowing one unearned run over 5.2 innings, striking out seven, in a win at Asheville on August 18. During the month, Carreño led the South Atlantic League in batting average against (.152) and ranked second in ERA (1.17).

Henríquez was on fire in August, registering a team-best six home runs and 25 RBI. During Brooklyn's road series at Asheville, the 21-year-old was named South Atlantic League Player of the Week after going 9-for-25 (.360) at the dish with four home runs and 11 RBI. In August, Henríquez was tied for third in the SAL in RBI (25) and tied for fourth in hits (30).

Aidan SMITH (OF)

Smith's first month in the New York Mets' organization was an impressive one. The 22-year-old led all Brooklyn hitters (min. 50 PA) in batting average (.319) and OPS (1.267) in August after being acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in a trade. Smith ranked fifth in the SAL in OPS (.994), seventh in on-base percentage (.429), and eighth in batting average (.319).

Trey SNYDER (OF)

Snyder made an impression in his first month at the High-A level. Over 24 games in August, the 20-year-old was tied for the South Atlantic League lead in sacrifice flies (3) and was tied for eighth in RBI (22) and hits (27). Snyder capped the month with a tremendous two-week road trip in which he hit .354/.382/.479/.861 with 14 RBI in 11 games.
